If you’re looking for a treatment for hives, you’re not the only one. In fact, at least 20% of the population experiences an outbreak of hives at any given moment. Not only is hives painful and aggravating, it can last up to 6 weeks or even longer if you don’t find the most effective treatment.
This article will cover the most effective treatment for hives that I’ve found after working with many patients who suffer with this condition, as well as what hives is, what causes it, and why you would want to utilize the treatment I’ll tell you about rather than traditional treatments.
First of all, hives is basically an inflammation (irritation) of the skin, but it really isn’t the skin that’s the issue – it’s a problem with the plasma cells of the blood stream.
What happens is that the plasma cells within the blood stream become aggravated (I’ll explain why in a second), and they will then move out of the blood stream and congregate under the skin. This irritates the skin, and the itchy rash develops.
There are really only two reasons that hives will occur – allergies and stress. Stress is the major factor, and the reason this develops with stress is because your brain will produce certain “stress” chemicals that cause the body to become inflamed.
In addition to that, allergies (food allergies in particular) can lead to hives, simply because an allergy IS inflammation of the body due to the fact that your body thinks there is a foreign invader threatening the body.
If you’ve gone to your physician for this problem, you know that the most common treatment for hives is steroid medications. As with everything, in some instances these medications can help an individual, but more often than not, they are not effective.
In fact, some research has shown that steroids can actually make the problem worse if taken over a period of time. In addition to that, these medications can have some very serious side effects associated with using them.
Here are just some of the side effects caused by steroid medications: acne, aggression, birth defects, kidney disease, liver problems, blood clotting too quickly, cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure and weight gain.
Because of this, I began to look for an alternative treatment for hives that I could recommend to my patients with this problem, and I found a really great homeopathic alternative that is very effective, but didn’t have the side effects caused by steroids.
The product I recommend for people suffering from hives and itching is called OxyHives. This product is all natural, homeopathic, and is very simple to use (you just spray it under your tongue).
This product has ingredients that reduce the inflammation within the body, which causes the plasma cells to act the way they’re supposed to. When you reduce this inflammation, the skin starts to act like it normally does and the hives go away.
