Chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition which affects the recovery of person after a physical or mental activity. Usually after tiring one’s self, a person need a few hours or a day of rest to get back to normal. However severe fatigue could last for a long period of time it the person in question is suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. In addition to severe exhaustion the person may also have symptoms such as an damaged memory or reduced attentiveness, a sore throat, feel muscle pain, get new headaches, not be able to have a refreshing sleep or have post-exceptional malaise which would last more than a day.
Much research has been carried out on chronic fatigue syndrome treatment . Earlier, it was firmly believed that chronic fatigue syndrome was a psychologically based disease but experts now are of the opinion that it is a physical illness. The treatment for it is varied and depends on symptoms that are present since there is no solid evidence on the causes of chronic fatigue syndrome. The most frequent methods used are to treat patients with trycilic antidepressants or selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors.
One of the methods used today as treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome is exercise. It is believed that when a person is physically inactive for a long period of time, it can lead to chronic fatigue syndrome becoming worse as it weakens the immune system, had an adverse effect on a person’s mood and also strength. Even though exercise has not produced any conclusive results in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome, it is still recommended by doctors as a method of treatment.
The type of cure used for patients with chronic fatigue syndrome varies from case to case, depending on the patient’s symptoms as well as their genetic nature. Also, treating the patients symptoms individually can improve his/her quality of life and enable the person to live a relatively normal life, managing to cope with chronic fatigue syndrome.
chronic fatigue syndrome alternative treatment is one that is being highly researched and investigated today. Cure for the syndrome is a subject of much debate and interest as there is no certain cure for the syndrome. At present the best that can be done is to cope with the syndrome, so hopefully the future will lead to a discovery in which a cure that can eliminate it can be found.
